So as things currently stand, I'm currently teaching myself how to do online web development with focus in HTML5 & CSS/CSS3 and am proving to have a fairly good understanding of the concepts involved with help from my extremely experienced father. The reason why I'm doing this is because by my father's claims, if I were to become a decent codemonkey that I'd be able to easily work my way through college at right around $20.00 an hour, give or take a couple dollars. Also that if I show good potential, which I am currently from his opinion, he may be able to convince the IT consulting company he works for to allow me to work there as a minor web development and website maintenance consultant. I cannot eloquently explain how much of a burden would be lifted off of my shoulders if I was able to hold a well-paying job throughout college, in a job that I would be studying for while attending college. Not only would I have all the knowledge and certification once I left college, I could also potentially have almost three or four years of experience right out of the gate as a software consultant! Take about having a leg up on my graduating peers!

Needless to say, this has been cutting majorly into my writing.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm about to become a high-speed safety hazard on the highway, wish me luck! (I'm practicing for the DMV road-test.)

Well DA, I'm back again, bigger, faster, stronger, and better than ever. I'm back now as a high school graduate (whoop-de-doo). I've read more books, watched more anime (The good kind), and have furthered my studies on how to be a relatively more successful.

Additionally I'm currently in the process of breaking my (psychological) addiction to video games. And I've gotta say, it's rather liberating to cut down on it so much. I've gone from a solid four or five hours a day, down to one or two hours or the span of several days. In my newly freed time, I've been hitting up the gym just about every day to some extent. I can proudly say that with the amount of working out I've done, I got clearly exposed muscles on my lower legs and upper torso at any given time and in just the past week I've increased my maximum lift weight by 10 pounds at the weight bench (Now at 3 sets of 10 lifts @ 155lbs) and doing pullups is now also a easy feat.

I've finished multiple anime series and books that have refreshed my views and imagination and given me now ideas to write about for my book. Just as well, I've subscribed to the blog of a brilliant woman and accomplished author named Holly Lisle, and believe me, this woman is truly brilliant.

Welp, I'm back, and with all this new time I have on my hands I plan on putting it to good, productive use.

It's not often I find something to complain about in regards to school. But man alive, this week went by slowly! Good Lord, did the hours ever drag on.
For the first few days I'll be going up to Central Wisconsin to stay with my mom over the weekend near Wis.Dells. That said, internet's not gonna be all that great, so this will be a great opportunity to disconnect from all my gaming. Also hopefully gonna get to go hiking at Devil's Lake state park, and it's been almost a decade since I was last there, so I am REALLY psyched for that.

Well, I'm glad to say that I got in my first bike ride of the year! About 11-13 miles long, round trip, three large, fairly steep hills, and plenty of beautiful nature all around. It was incredibly satisfying to be able to ride underneath the trees and have the sun and the wind at my back. I also got a couple photos of a incredibly well formed paper wasp nest that had formed on a young tree next to the bike path, I'll try to find a way to post it to this journal later. I also stopped by the marina and snapped a couple shots of the thinning nice on the dock water.

Overall, it was a great bike ride and I'm truly satisfied with the physical exertion I put in.

Edit - Just wanted to add that my summertime training regiment usually has me lose at least 10 pounds a month. (About 4.53Kg/month for everywhere that isn't Myanmar, Liberia, or Freedomland.)

I can't believe I'd ever make an announcement like this given my massive amount of free time, but shit happens y'know?

The 1st semester at my school is coming to a close, that said, I have a lot of work that I need to wrap up for my classes, the most time consuming of which being my Mobile Game & App Design class. It's really my fault because of my entire class, I created the most ambitious idea out of all the students, Tower-Defense Hybrid. Most of the other students are only making extremely top-down side scrollers or flappy-bird style games. My game, made using Gamemaker Professional, relies upon the idea of Towers only being present to WEAKEN rather than defeat hostiles, leaving the weakened enemies to a steady stream of spawned soldiers, as of right now just a single standard soldier and a horse mounted knight.

Two types of towers, two types of soldiers, three types of enemies, with the future potential for 2 AoE "Glass Cannon" soldier units and several version of archers, several more hostile units, and resource "Nodes" (If I feel like continuing it)

So, until final exams are finished on the 26th of this month, I will be placing the Crest Fallen series in a SHORT hiatus. Bare with me now, people. It's horrible news, I know.
